Our Facilities
Animal Care Hospital is located at the corner of East Railroad Street and Nicholson Avenue in Long Beach, MS. The hospital is approximately 5800 sq. ft. with a fenced area for walking and exercising boarded animals. Animal Care Hospital is easily accessible from all surrounding areas.
Lobby
Our spacious lobby enables you and your pet to relax comfortably while waiting for your appointment. Our decor will whisk you away to a flower filled garden in Victoria, British Columbia as you sip a cup of coffee or read your favorite magazine. If not seen immediately, most pets are seen within 3-5 minutes upon arriving.
Exam Rooms
There are 4 examination rooms. Each is decorated with a different motif. Room 1 has dog decor with wallpaper border, pictures, and a flying Bassett hound in the fluorescent light. Room 2 is decorated with cats. Room 3 has a collage of both dogs and cats. Room 4 is decorated in an avian motif complete with life-size figures of various species of birds. Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV with Diagnostic Imaging Atlas on CD ROM that provides continuous loop videos. These videos describe the most common problems in small animals and allows complex surgical and medical procedures to be explained.
Surgery
Surgical suites are equipped with oxygen and isoflurane gas anesthetic machines, EKG machine, pulse oximetry, respiratory monitors, heating pads, and IV fluid administration sets. Every effort is made to make your pets surgical experience as safe as possible.
Kennels
Our kennel has 58 stainless cages which allow for safe and clean boarding of your pets. Our kennel runs are 3 ft X 8 ft, totally enclosed and in an air conditioned area. All pets that board with us have blankets in their cages at all times. We feed Science Diet food. Your pets are walked, exercised and played with outside, in a fenced yard with grass, three times per day. They are bathed when they arrive AND the day they go home.

Check out area has a large selection of heartworm preventatives, flea and tick medications, shampoos, prescription/non-prescription foods, treats, supplements, and other supplies.
